Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor for morning news at WCBD TV and acted as a crime reporter. O'Dell's reports in Charleston about the police's leniency regarding DUI cases, prompted the State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter. This led to state authorities issuing more strict rules in these instances. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. Following her stint at Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative reporter. After that, she joined Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. O'Dell in addition to being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's been a reporter for the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. She hosted both The Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
